Recently Engaged?

The first question that comes up when getting married is, Who pays for what?

Traditionally the bride’s family pays for most of the wedding. In our modern society the bride and groom and each set of parents some time split the cost of the wedding and wedding events. The following are just some traditional wedding expense guild lines. As a Nashville Wedding Planner, we help you make these decisions easier so you can concentrate on the important things, enjoying your wedding!

Bride/Brides Family
- Favors
- Wedding Cake
- Programs
- Photographer
- Ceremony Arrangements
- Ceremony Decorations
- Invitations
- Flowers (Bridesmaids, corsages, decoration flowers)
- Grooms Gift
- Grooms rings

Groom/ Grooms Family
- Honeymoon
- Marriage license
- Brides ring’s
- Brides Wedding Gift
- Rehearsal Dinner
- Flowers (Bridal Bouquet and Boutonnieres)
- Groomsmen Gifts
- Officiate Fees
- Wedding Attire
- Alcohol for reception

These are just a few of the things a traditional couple would split between the two or the families.

Want to lose a few before the BIG day?

Being a previous bride myself I struggled with wanting to lose weight before the big day. I did some research and found these little hints that I think all brides would be interested in!

1) LOTS of water
2) Eat often, just small portions. Try eating breakfast one hour after you wake up then continue to eat every four hours. Include veggies and fruits for your snacks.
3) Go for a morning walk even if its 15 minutes anything will help. Eventually build up, this is a huge part of it.
4) Make sure to eat protein and plenty of veggies and fruits.

With these four easy tips anyone can loose up to a dress size before you big day! How awesome is that!

Hope you found the tips helpfully! Don't forget to visit us at  Memories of Elegance

Wedding Excitement

When first planning you special day, take a minute to think of all those years you spent thinking about this day. Remember when you were a little girl and all those fair tales you had, well its finally going to come true!
The most exciting thing of planning your wedding either in Tennessee or France is the fact that you get to make it personal.  Being a recent bride, I still live through the moments of planning like  meeting with my vendors, but most of all, I treasure the personal touch that was there.  Your wedding process shouldn't have to be stressful, it needs to be special, fun, and above all YOURS.  This day is about you, well and your husband, but mostly about the bride! :)  Everyone has there eyes on you, which is an awesome feeling but can also be stressful but don't stress!  The list below contains a few things to get a jump start when you begin your planning.
1) Don't do everything at first.  Spread it out.
2) Enjoy planning it.  Involve everyone from your mother to your aunt, if you would like.
3) Set a budget.  This is different for everyone but will help you not over spend.
4) Research.  Take a few hours to research a venue and a location of your choice, whether it be in Tennessee or not.
5) Pick your Vendors.  This is important because they will be the ones who help you make your dreams  come true.
Remembering these easy tips will make all the difference in your wedding.  It's about you and making sure you enjoy your day.
Here at Memories of Elegance, we make sure you have the perfect Tennessee Wedding with the many services we offer like planning, catering, flowers, decorations, and vendors. We do what it takes to make our brides happy and to make your day special!!
